Dressed throughout in Susie Watson and looking out over the gardens of Higher Cross Park, Leas Foot offers it’s own particular magic. In the warmer months, when the gardens are at their fullest, this is one of the loveliest outlooks of the house.

Lea’s Foot shares the spacious family bathroom on this floor with Bantham – the one with the standalone bath and walk-in shower allowing you plenty of time to relax and unwind.

Twin Suite

Tucked beneath the eaves, the Family Suite is two rooms that work as one. The king bedroom – Beesands – and adjoining twin room – Hallsands – are a natural arrangement for parents and children who want to be close but not on top of one another.  Each room has it’s own sofa and Beesands has a beautifully appointed ensuite bathroom.

The bookshelf can be stacked with childrens books on request. Here, you have the most incredible views out to the moors, sea and beyond…including the most sensational starry nights.

Living

The living room in a farmhouse is often the heart of the home, reflecting warmth, comfort, and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. Traditionally, it serves as a multifunctional space where family members can gather, relax, and entertain. Here’s an introduction to the elements commonly found in a farmhouse-style living room:

This is very much the heart of the house and often where everyone congregates. Opulent in space, the kitchen opens out into a stunning double-height orangery framed with oak beams. This acts as a combined breakfast and dining room that looks out over the Italian-influenced courtyard. There is a 4-oven Aga (guides are available for novices and I promise it isn’t too scary), numerous fridges for food and drink and a stocked wine rack. In the summer, the large oak framed bi-fold doors can be opened out onto the beautiful courtyard where there are further dining options and a barbecue area.

This may be the smallest of the reception rooms but it’s wonderfully cosy and a perfect place to relax. Watch a film, read a book, relax up with the dog…it’s a perfect place to be. And in the colder months, light the log burner, pull up a blanket and shut the blustery world outside.

This is great place to escape to at the southernly end of the house, so if there is a crowd of you and you need some down time, this is the place to go. There are two book cases stocked with books and games and a further log burner for those lazy Sunday afternoons.
It may be necessary to do a bit of work while you’re away and if so, there is a study available. It is located next to the reading room, quietly tucked around the back of the house. Here, you won’t be interrupted and can even open up the french doors, wander out into the cobbled courtyard and enjoy your coffee break under the shade of the fig tree.
In case you want to maintain your fitness during your stay, there is a private gym available. This comes equipped with cardio machinery, various weights, yoga and pilates equipment and plenty of space to stretch. You can also use the TV to stream an exercise class or play music while you workout…this should help keep up your enthusiasm!
